Write up on Autism Blogger
Posted October 28th, 2009 by Todd FugereAutism Vox did a write up of my Autism Blog.
"Those readers looking for a new blog might consider Autism Blogger, which offers a most interactive free site for members to share stories, news, blogs, videos, images, and more. It may not look absolutely cutting edge and all Flashy, but put a note here and dozens of readers will flock to it within just a few hours. Among its qualities of use, AB is simple and direct — just whatautism itself never seems to be — and a terrific way to connect with others involved in the condition."
Wonder if that means I need to update the look and feel?

Ultrasound
Posted August 5th, 2009 by adminWe had the ultrasound yesterday, and we are having a boy!! I'm pretty excited about that. The ultrasound pictures were pretty awesome. It's cool to see what the baby looks like at this point. Now we can focus on boy names, and buying gender specific items, rather than the green and yellow we've been buying.

New Music
Posted March 12th, 2009 by adminSince I am not working, I have been spending quite a bit of time down in the studio. I'm currently working on an instrumental record. It's pretty aggressive and heavy, mostly punk and metal with other styles mixed in here and there. It's turning out to be pretty interesting. I plan to have something released within the next 6 weeks. I have to repair my music site and I'll have some MP3's there soon. Stay tuned!

Job Hunting
Posted December 29th, 2008 by adminEasy come easy go. I had one of the coolest jobs I've ever had and just like that it dissapeared. Unfortunately, the company I was working for ran out of money and the flagship project we were working on for two years, never launched. I always thought the job was too good to be true, turns out it was.
I'm back hitting the pavement and chasing leads. I doubt I'll find another telecommute position, but who knows, I may find something better. I'm trying to remain positive in this tough economy and tough job market.
If you know of any good job openings, lemme know!!

Linux
Posted December 12th, 2008 by adminI have been using my laptop since about 1998, so my wife was nice enough to get me a new one. I got a sweet Dell with tons of RAM and a gigantic HD. I'm sure I'll just fill it up with music anyway.
The laptop came loaded with Vista, yuck. So I loaded Ubuntu Linux and man is it awesome. I'm now running a full open source system. So far no glitches, everything works perfectly. I'm struggling here and there, but I think I'll have everything figured out in no time.

My Best Buy Horror Story
Posted July 1st, 2008 by Todd FugereDon't buy a TV from Best Buy. My wife and I have been doing some remodeling, we finally decided to upgrade our ancient TV. We ended up getting a 46" Sony Bravia High Def flat screen TV from Best Buy.
We shopped around and Best Buy had the cheapest price for the TV we wanted. We found it online, but had to go to the store to order it. It came into the store after a few days and we went to pick it up on Wednesday. The Best Buy employees loaded it into our car and laid it flat and we drove a half hour home. Since we were still remodeling our house and we hadn't purchased a TV stand yet, we left the TV in the box and put it upright in a bedroom until we could set it up. After what felt like an endless wait, we found a TV stand we liked and I could now setup my new TV. I finally opened the box of my new TV on Saturday...and it was completely cracked. The screen was completely spider webbed.

Vegas 2008
Posted April 10th, 2008 by Todd FugereWe just got back from Vegas. It was a great time. Some friends of mine were getting married out there. I was the Best Man and my wife was the Bridesmaid. My wife and I introduced the couple over 5 years ago, who would've thought they actually hit it off and got married. Scary, we should be matchmakers.
The wedding took place at Valley of Fire. Which was a great park, very scenic. We cruised in a limo all day. Ate dinner at the Eifel Tower. The bill for 4 couples was just under $1000. But the food was excellent.
We went to the Vegas version of the Price is Right. This is just a scaled down version of the show on tv, but it is not televised. My wife's name got called to spin the wheel. She hit a dollar! Then when she spun again, she was one number away from hitting it again. So she ended up winning $350. The crazy part was my name got called right after that, but I was out bid and didn't make it on stage. Man, that was a fun night.
We did the usual stuff: Hung out at the pool, walked the strip, shopping, drinking, people watching, etc. We took the bus downtown as well, just to check it out. You can see our photos here.
All in all it was a great time. Vegas can be a lot of fun.

Vegas or Bust
Posted February 22nd, 2008 by Todd FugereWell I'm off to Las Vegas again. In April me and the wife and two friends are going to vegas for a few days. My friends are getting married there, that's the main reason we are going. I introduced them to each other a few years back, since then they have fallen in love, started living together and are now getting married in Vegas. Just call me the match-maker!
I'm looking forward to playing some blackjack. I've been honing up on my skills. Plus I have a help card that tells you when to stay, when to hit, when to double down etc. With this card I'm hoping to clean up.
I'll make sure to post some pictures of our trip. Check back later to see those!
